My oh my.....How did this happen?  My baby boy is one!

He wears size 3 diapers and 12 month clothes.  He drinks whole milk only and uses a sippy cup!  He only has one bottle a day before bed time:).  He still loves his lovey and his paci.  We will start working on the paci in the next few months.  He takes 2 naps a day even though he has started fighting sleep during the day.  He eats mostly table food, but I will occasionally give him some baby food when we have something that is hard for him to eat.  He loves almost everything you give him, especially foods he can eat by himself.  He will also sign more if you ask him if he wants more food:)  He has 7 teeth (4 on top and 3 on bottom with the fourth on the bottom about to pop through).  He has also started cutting his 1 yr old molars.  He has brown eyes and BLONDE.  I actually had to take a poll because I would say light brown, but maybe I am just in denial:).  He got his first haircut on July 3rd.  He also had his first ring pop that same day!  

My expert crawler has become a stander/cruiser.  He can stand on his own for a long time and can even transition from the couch to the chair very easily.  He also loves pushing his "push toy" all around the house.  The next step his taking his first step!  It could be any day now.  He has started to tell me "eeeee-eeeee" (as in "no no") when I say it to him.  He is so silly!  He has been daning when we say "wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle wiggle".  He will also sit on the hardwood floor and spin in circles.  When we start laighing at him, he starts spinning faster.  He says "mama" and "dada" all the time!  He still loves giving kisses and has started giving "squeezes" (hugs).  He LOVES the dogs and will give them hugs.  He also LOVES books and Baby Einstein.  It is so much fun to watch him play with all of his toys!

This past year has flown by and has been the best year ever.  Watching him grow and learn has been the most amazing thing to experience.  I look forward to all the fun and excitement that the next year holds.

11 Months

Baby boy is 11 months old today!!!

He still weighs 20 lbs and is still 30 inches long.  He is wearing 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers.  He still takes 7 ounces of formula every 3 1/2 to 4 hours.  Within the past week, we have started giving him Vitamin D milk, and he is doing great on it!  He eats 3-4 containers of baby food a day, but we have also started giving him more solid foods.  He loves all kinds of fruit, applesauce, yogurt, pickles, rice, mashed potatoes, and really everything that we give him.  He still loves the gerber puffs, but REALLY likes the Golden Flake corn puffs.  He still only has 6 teeth and no evidence of anymore right now.  His hair is getting longer and thicker.  Daddy thinks it is time for a haircut, but mommy is not ready for that yet! 

He still an expert crawler, but will pull to stand and cruise along everything!  He has started walking around with mommy or daddy holding his hands.  He is definietly a little problem solver.  He figured out that he can hold his toys in his mouth.  He also will look for his toys under couch and ottoman and most of the time get them all by himself.  He loves feeding himself and will sometimes refuse to take a bite unless you let him help:)  He likes to try to play in the toilet, so we have been putting the lids down, but he has figured out how to lift those up!  Needless to say, we now have to keep the bathroom doors closed.   

He loves all of his toys, and it is so much fun watching him play and explore.  He loves playing with his toy cars and trucks.  He will push them back and forth on the ground and make noises with his lips.  He loves throwing balls with his daddy.  He enjoys digging around in his toy box to find the toys that he wants to play with.  He loves playing outside and helping daddy water the grass with the sprinkler. 

He got in the pool for the first time this month and LOVED every minute of it!  He also went to the beach for the first time and loved the ocean and sand.  Of course, he had to taste the sand.  He did great on the long car ride thanks to the DVD player.  He loves him some Baby Einstein.  While we were at the beach, Yaya taught him to drink out of a straw.  He now has an obsession with straws!  If he sees one he will do just about anything to get it. 

He is doing imitating a lot more these days.  He likes to imitate mommy screaming.  He thinks it is funny.  He will also call for "Teph" when she is still sleeping in the mornings, and watch for her to come down the hall.  If he hears the garage door open, he will look for Daddy and immediately crawls as fast as he can to get to him!  Once daddy is home, Colin does not let him go anywhere without him!   

He takes 2 naps a day which last about an hour or two each.  I have started just laying him in his bed when he starts getting sleepy.  He cries/whines for a few minutes then falls asleep.  When he starts getting sleepy, he will laugh at EVERYTHING.   

He is still such a happy, loving little boy.  He loves giving kisses and has started giving hugs.  He has really started showing preferences for certain people.  If you reach for him and he doesn't want you, he will turn and hold tight the person holding him.  He will cry sometimes in the morning when Daddy leaves for work or cry for Steph when she leaves the house.  He will crawl to the front door and look out the window for her.  Good thing he recovers quickly:)

10 Months

My baby boy is 10 months old! 

He weighs 20 lbs and is 30 inches long.  He is wearing 9-12 month clothes and size 3 diapers. He takes a 7-8 ounce bottle 4 times a day and eats baby food for breakfast and dinner.  He also still loves ALL table food that we will let him eat, and he loves all flavors of puffs.  He loves feeding himself and likes to share his food with the pups. 

He has become an expert with crawling.  He is into everything!  Needless to say, we are in the process of teaching him "no no".  He loves to crawl to the entertainment center and pull down all the DVDs.  He loves to crawl into the bathroom and throw things into the tub and play with the toliet paper.  He also loves playing in mommy's basket where she keeps all off her "getting ready" stuff.  He is getting really good at cruising along the furniture.  His balance has greatly improved, and he can easily stand holding onto something with one hand.  I love when something is just out of his reach because he will go up on his tiptoes to extend his reach a little further.

He is getting alot better at imitating.  Some of things he is good at imitating is a fake cough, puckering his lips, clapping his hands, sticking his tongue out, and clicking his tongue.  He is also starting to talk a lot more.  I love listening to him and watching his facial expressions.  He now has 6, yes I said 6, teeth which he used last night to bite me with.  Let's hope that this does not become a habit.   

He absolutley loves water, so bath time is always fun.  He gets so excited when he hears the water running and will crawl as fast as he can to the tub.  He loves slapping the water and splashing.  We are so excited for this weekend because we are putting him in a pool for the first time:) 

He is sleeping really well in his own bed.  He loves going to sleep with is lovey.  He has a blue dog lovey that he takes with him during the day and an elephant lovey that is just for home.  He loves chewing on his loveys, but when he gets sleeping he will rub a piece of his lovey (usually the ears) on his nose or cheek.   

He had his first dose of antibiotics this month.  When we took him to his 9 mth checkup the doctor said he had a small ear infection.  He also had the dreadful fever virus again over Mother's Day weekend.  We figured out that he likes the berry flavored Motrin much better than the cherry flavored Tylenol:)    

He is such a sweet and loving baby.  He loves to give kisses.  He will open his mouth and lean in when tell him to give you a kiss.  He is so much fun and has such a big personality.  He is a very happy baby and is always smiling.  He has the sweetest little laugh that I could listen to all day long!  I am so excited that in just three more days I will be with this little guys 24/7!

9 Months

Colin is 9 months old today!!

Where do I even begin? This little guy has had a very eventful month. I will start by saying that the day after her turned 8 months old, he ran his first fever. It turned out to be just a fever virus which ran its course over 4 days. He also ran his second fever this month too, but this time it was hand, foot, and mouth virus. Thank goodness it wasn't a bad case, and he only felt bad for about 24 hours.

Now on to the good stuff! He is now wearing 9-12 month clothes and is still in a size 3 diaper. He takes 6-7 ounces every 4 hours and eats baby food for breakfast and dinner. He alwso LOVES table food. We let him try almost everything we eat, and he has yet to refuse anything. Sometimes he claps after you give him a bite of your food, and it is the sweetest thing!

He can crawl and crawls everywhere to get into everything!  He can also pull to stand and does so on anything including other babies (Blakely and Tate)!  He can pick up his puff snacks and successfully put them in his mouth....most of the time:)  The problem is he thinks they should all go in his mouth and the same time!  He is also getting better with the sippy cup, but will still drink it too fast sometimes and get a little choked up. 

He loves to listen to his daddy play the guitar.  He has decided that he likes to play it too!  He also still likes to squeal or growl at you to let you know when he wants or needs something.  For instance, when we are at dinner and we are not feeding him OUR food fast enough.  He says "dada"  all the time and has said "mama" a few times.  He likes to talk a lot which I love:)

He now has 3 teeth (bottom 2 and top left), but the fourth is about to break through the skin.  He loves playing outside riding in his car or crawling around in the grass.  We also bought him a baby splash pad which he loved!  I am so exciting for summer time because he loves water so much.  He loves when I show up to pick him up in the afternoons.  The second he hears my voice, he starts whining and frantically looking/crawling to me.  Of course, the second I pick him up he is happy and all smiles!

8 Months

My precious boy is 8 months old today. He's at that age where everyday he is learning something new or doing something different.  It is so much fun watching him do something for the first time:)

He is now wearing size 6-9 or 9 month clothes, and he is still in size 3 diapers.  He is still a great little eater.  He takes 5-6 ounces every 3-4 hours and eats baby food twice a day.  He loves ALL food, especially table food.  Everytime we sit down to eat, he thinks he should get something too.  He also got to taste his first sucker.  Needless to say, he loved it. 

He is doing great sleeping throught the night, but occasionally he will stir and start fussing.  We have to put his paci back in his month and he will go right back to sleep.  He wakes up between 5:30 and 6:30 for a bottle, but will fall back to sleep taking it and will sleep for another hour or so.  He still sleeps with is lovey.  He knows when you give it to him it is bedtime, and he will start rubbing his eyes with it.  It is the sweetest thing:)

He loves sitting on the floor playing with is toys.  He will still sometimes lose his balance and fall backwards, so we try to keep a pillow behind him.  This is getting really hard since now he has found a way to move around.  He will go from sitting up, to the crawling position, then laying on his belly, to pushing back up to sitting up.  Believe it or not, he can cover a lot of ground with this technique:)  He is getting closer and closer to crawling everyday.  He can easily get up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth.  He has recently started to move his hands and his knees, but just not at the same time.  He will get the hang of it really soon!

He loves to talk and make noise!  He still says "dada" a lot, but we are working on "mama".  He will scream at you to get your attention.  He likes to click his tongue and sticks it out at you.  He also likes to spit (stick his tongue between his lips and blow) and has just started making this pucker face where he scrunches his lips up to his nose. This is how he lets us know when he is done with his baby food. 

He still only has 2 teeth, but I think we might see another one really soon.  He can now clap his hands.  It is the sweetest thing.  Everytime we say "yay", he claps:)  Since this week is mommy's Spring Break, we have been able to take advantage of the beautiful weather.  He has a little car that Nana and Papa brought down for him, and he loves riding around in it.  He holds on to the steering wheel with both hands when it is moving.  He will also kick his feet up while he is riding around in it.

Happy 7 months Colin!

We cannot believe how fast time flies.

Colin is 7 months old today!

He is getting so big.

He is growing and doing new things every day.

Colin weighs 18.2 pounds and is 28 1/2 inches long.

He is wearing mostly size 6 months in clothes, but they are starting to get too short.  9 month is still a little too big in the arms and body, but pretty good with length.  He is wearing size 3 diapers.

His eyes are still pretty dark...they are probably going to be brown.  His hair is light brown and continues to thicken up.  We have started brushing it over to one side like a big boy.  :)

Along with more hair, comes more bed head.  You can tell when he has been laying down...his hair is a little messy.  He still looks like a good mix of mommy and daddy.

He is still sleeping in his pack and play next to mommy and daddy's bed, but he is becoming more mobile so we will have to either start putting him in his crib or lower his pack and play pretty soon.  He still goes to sleep between 7:30 and 8:30, but is waking up between 4:14 and 5:15 for a bottle and then he goes right back to sleep.  He has also started going to sleep on his own.  After his bottle, we have started putting him down and he will snuggle with his lovey and falling a sleep.

He drinks 5-6 oz every 3 to 4 hours.  He also eats a fruit in the morning and veggie and 1/2, somewtimes a whole, fruit every night.  He loves sitting in his high chair while we eat dinner and I've started letting him have more tastes of our food. 

He is getting much better at holding his own bottle and he is sitting up like a pro.  He is also in the beginning stage of crawling.  He will go up on his hands and knees and rock back and forth.  He is also pretty good at army crawling backwards.  He has mastered reaching and grasping for whatever he wants within reach including the remote control and mommy's cell phone...those are by far his favorites.   

He is really starting to show his personality. He has so many fun facial expressions and has started poking his bottom lip above his top lip. He loves blowing bubbles and sticking out his tongue. He is also imitating sounds.  His favorites is da-da...he seems to say that all the time now.  He has said ma-ma a few times.  He thinks fake caughing is really funny so I was doing that to him the other night and he started imitating me.  He is also reaching so much and showing a preference for who is holding him.  He has been quite the daddy's boy lately.

He officially has two teeth, both on the bottom.  He doesn't like for you to feel them either...he will clench his little lips together.  He still enjoys watching Baby Einstein and Wonder Pets.  Bath time is still one of his favorites...he no longer uses his baby tub.  He actually took his first shower with dad this past weekend.  He was trying to reach and grab the water as it was coming down.  He seemed to enjoy it.  I look forward to see what new things the next month brings.

6 Months

Happy 1/2 Birthday Colin!!  Our precious boy is getting big:)  He weighs 17 lbs and is roughly 27 1/2 inches long.  He has his 6 mth check up on Monday, so we will have more acurate height and weight.  He is wearing mostly 6 month clothes, but some 3-6 and size 3 diapers. 

He still has dark eyes.  Sometimes they look brown, but sometimes they look a little green.  His hair is still brown, but since it has starting thickening up, it is starting to lighten up a little too.  He still looks a lot like daddy, but a lot of people say he is a good mix.  I definitely think he has my eyes:) 

He still sleeps in his pack-n-play beside our bed.  This is more for mommy.  I am sure he would be fine in his crib, but I am just not quite ready for that yet.  He falls asleep between 7:30-8:30 and wakes up between 5:45-6:30 for a bottle, but then will go right back to sleep. 

He eats 5-6 ounces every 3-4 hours. He also eats stage food baby food twice a day. He eats fruit in the morning and a vegetable at night. He LOVES food. He sits with us at the table when we eat dinner and has shown lots of interest in our food. I have let him taste a few things:) He loves mashed potatoes!

He started sitting up on Christmas day and has recently started rolling over from his back to his belly.  When he is on his belly, he has started pulling his knees under him like he is going to crawl.  He loves playing in his sitting on the floor and playing with is toys.   

He loves playing peek-a-boo and when Daddy startles him.  He has really started to get curious about things lately.  He will lean over and reach items and makes the cutest little face:)  He has also showing lots as interest in Malik.  He will reach for him and grab his hair.  He also loves watching Malik and Coralplay and smiles so big when they start licking him:)

He is teething even more now, but still no teeth.  He is constantly chewing on something.  His paci, toys, fingers, his feet, carseat strap, ect:)  He also loves chewing on his frozen teethers.  His eye hand coordination is really good, so if something is within his reach that he wants, he gets it.  He also has a really good grip, so it is hard to get things away from him like mommy's hair:) 

He still loves Baby Einstein and other Nick Jr shows thanks to LK and Blakely.  Mommy and Daddy both know the theme song to Wonder Pets!  He still plays in his activity station too.  He is really starting to show his personality more and more.  He is quick to let you know if he is not happy about something too.  He will start whining and blowing bubbles. 

He has started to show his bashful side a little bit too.  When his Aunt Steph talks to him in her "baby talk", he will smile really big and start putting his head down.  It is the cutest!
