Concrete jungle where dreams are made of

New York! My little sister moved to New York to be a nanny. She is going to have so many opportunities to travel and adventures to experience. She will be taking numerous trips to the Bahamas, and they have already scheduled a ski trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming! These are both places Eli and I what to visit, so I am a little jealous. Not to mention she will be in New York where is actually snows in the winter time:) My mom and stepdad rode up with her yesterday, and they will get to spend a few days sightseeing. She will be living in a one bedroom cottage on the family's property, so I am already planning a trip up over spring break!

She will be missed greatly, but we have already made her promise to return in at least a year or so. She has also promised to visit every 2 months. My family and I are super close, so this will definitely be a change from what we are use to. She will be home for a few days around CHRISTmas, and I am already looking forward to a sister sleepover!

2.  My sister is leaving for New York Wednesday Morning!  I will have a post dedicated to her later in the week telling you all about it.

3.  I watched Eclipse last night!  Fabulous as always..... it makes me want to read the series again.  Maybe over CHRISTmas Break.

4.  I am a die hard BAMA fan!  I mean I literally bleed crimson:) but I am a bit torn about the NC game!  I mean, I am sick of ESPN saying how the SEC is overrated and not as good as they have been in years past.  I would love for Oregon (the team they have been worshipping all season) to lose to an SEC team, but cheering for Auburn is next to impossible!  Atleast I have a few weeks to  decide!  Come on.... it really would show the college football nation that the SEC is a force to be reckoned with because Auburn come VERY close to losing to over half of the other SEC teams they played!

5.  Only 9 days left til CHRISTmas vacation!  Can't wait:)

One of my new favorite shows this year is GLEE. I started watchin it a little late and only saw the last 3 or 4 episodes, so I put the first part of the season on my queue for Netflix. The show is awesome, and I definitely recommend it! This helps to explain why I was so excited about one of Halle's new adventures. (Halle is my neice who is 8) She went to a camp that was similar to Glee or a show choir. They taught them songs and dances that they got to perform on the last day for their friends and family. The camp was for ages 5-18, and they performed in four groups: K and 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 4th and 5th, and 9th-12th. The performances were great, and I have to admit that I wish I did something like that when I was younger. Here are a few pics from "Summer Show-Offs":)

Sweet Summertime

Have I told you yet how much I love summer?? Since my sister, my SIL, and my good friend Candace all have the summer off, we are having so much fun taking the kids out and about:) Monday: we went to Alabama Adventure for their $10 before 10 deal. Wednesday: we went and saw a FREE movie (Astro Boy) @ the Rave in Patton Creek. Tomorrow is our pool day, so needless to say this is my fav day! I am also really excited about tomorrow afternoon:) I will blog again this weekend and tell you why!!! Also, the count down is on 5 more days til ECLIPSE.....yes I am a OBSESSED with the Twilight Saga:)

For Real this Time

Ok so I know that I have been MIA for several months now, but I am going to really try this time to be an official blogger!

I am so happy to be out for the summer. I am keeping my neice LK, and we have already had so much fun. Last week, we went to the pool and to the zoo. Who knows what is in store for this week, but I can guarantee that we will be spending some time at the pool! Here are a few pics from last week:)

So teachers are suppose to have the summer off right? Wrong!! I am taking 5 classes at UAB to finish my masters, so I feel like I have not had a break. I know I must be crazy right. I have good reason because after this summer I will have one class in the fall to finish!!

The summer has not been all work and no play. For Memorial Day, Eli and I went with a few couples to the beach!!
