Baby Shower Fun

This past weekend, Eli's sister, aunt and mother threw us a baby shower for our family and friends in Decatur.  We had a wonderful time hanging out with friends and family, and Colin got a lot of goodies:) Here is a picture of the hostesses and Cade monster (his nickname his Uncle "E-I" gave him).

                    

Eli's parents gave us our Pack-N-Play and our Travel System. We had fun putting these together Sunday night. The pack-n-play can be tricky, but we will get the hang of it!
                               
                    

Memaw gave us a handknitted blanket, hat, and stuffed animals.  So precious and will be a keepsake for sure!
                              

Granny and Aunt Sue gave us a houndstooth picnic basket with TONS of Bama gear for Colin.  Granny also gave him a baby Bible and a letter for him to open on HIS wedding day.
                    
                     

Carrie gave us our matress for the crib and a huge plastic tub of goodies including diapers, wipes, baby utensils, bowls, bath gear, and more. She also told us about another gift that she is still in the process of making. She is making a photo book on Shutterfly of Granddaddy (Colin's middle name is Ollie after his Great Granddaddy). I am very excited and can't wait to see the final product!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

                 

I'm loving our homemade orange juice popsicles that I made.  They are so yummy and are better than my no sugar added popsicles I have been eating:)
                           

I love getting packages in the mail.  When they are gifts for my baby boy, I enjoy them even more.  We received 2 gifts in the mail from Eli's aunt and uncle in Atlanta.  Thanks so much Aunt Lori and Uncle Mike!
                           

I'm loving that my pool is almost ready for me to use:)  Eli bought it for me a few weeks ago, and we have finally gotten a chance to put it up.  It will be perfect for me to lay on my float and relax in to beat the heat!
                            

I'm loving that Candace and sweet baby Tate are coming over this afternoon.  Candace and I are having a crafting day.  I want to make a picture to hang in his room over his dresser.  I will post pics when I am done:)

32 Weeks

How far along? 32 Weeks and 1 day

Sleep: Sleep is still ok.  It could be better, but it could be much worse.

Movement: He is moving all the time.  He shakes my whole belly when he moves, and I love it.  I do not like whne he balls up in my ribs though.  It does not feel good at all.  He had the hiccups for the first time Saturday morning.  I loved it.  I woke Eli up, so he could feel him too.

Food cravings:  I have all kinds of cravings for things that I can't have. Dr. Pepper, Japenese, Italian, Milos Sweet Tea, Spicy Chicken sandwich from Wendy's.  I am making a list, so I can indulge once Colin gets here.

Gender: Boy

Labor Signs: A few Braxton Hicks everyday.

Belly button in or out? It is even now with my belly. 

What I miss: My sister!  I wish she was here to feel him kick and help get his nursery together. 

What I am looking forward to: Colin's Baby Shower on June 25th:)

Miscellany Monday

                                   
{1}  I had a wonderful baby shower up in Decatur this weekend!  We got a lot of great stuff and had lots of fun with the family visiting and hanging around the pool.  Here is a sneak peek! 
                 
{2}  Colin has been kicking me like crazy lately.  I think is getting a little crowded in my belly:)  He had the hiccups for the first time Saturday morning at 5:20..... I didn't want to go back to sleep!  It was great.  I woke Eli up so he could feel too!  Here is a video of him kicking just for Steph.  We  love you and miss you very much!
                  
{3}  My step sister who lives in North Carolina is coming down this weekend to spend several weeks.  I am excited to see her and spend some time hanging out!  She has not seen me in a few months, so she will get to see how much my belly has grown:)

31 Weeks

How far along? 31 Weeks and 1 day


Sleep: Sleep is ok.  I am really tired of sleeping on my side, but I do not have too much longer.  I have been sleeping with a pillow between my legs and a little pillow under my belly.  I get really hot at night and end up sleeping without any covers (I am sure having all the pillows doesn't help with the heat either).

Movement: He is still up in my ribs on the right side which is really uncomfortable, but it's not all the time.  He will move a lot during the middle of the day and at night when I am going to bed.  Eli said that the other night after I fell asleep, he shook my whole belly.  I really like to sit and just watch my belly move:)

Food cravings: I am loving my whole wheat bagel thins and strawberry cream cheese for breakfast.  I also love Blue Bell no sugar added ice cream bars:)  These are 2 things that I could eat everyday!

Gender: Boy

Doctor Update: I have been pricking my finger (actually my lower palm) 4 times a day and my blood sugar has been good so far.  I go back to the doctor next Tuesday.

Weekend Fun

This past weekend we went out to my mom's to celebrate Mike's 40th Birthday! We had a lot of fun with family and friends. It was soooo hot, so I barely left the pool. 30 Weeks

How far along? 30 Weeks and 2 days


Sleep: Sleep is a little bit better.  I think being able to just wake up on my own makes a big difference (even though I am up by 7 or 7:30).  Gotta love summer:)

Movement: I can definitely tell that he is getting bigger becase some of his movements will shake by whole belly.  He does tend to ball up on my right side into my ribs, and it does not feel too good.

Food cravings: Watermelon and strawberries....maybe because it is sooo hot outside.  I tried the Splenda Milos tea, and it wasn't too bad.  I have tried diet sodas, and I just can't do it.

Gender: Boy

Labor Signs:  Same tightness in my lower belly.... I am assuming it is Braxton Hicks.

Belly button in or out? Still in, but after I eat it is out for a little while:)

What I miss: My daily Dr.Pepper

What I am looking forward to: Colin's Baby Showers! June 11th and June 25th:)

Doctor Update:  I went to my gestational diabetes class yesterday morning.  They gave me a monitor to prick my hand (lower palm) to check my blood sugar.  I have to check it four times a day for the next week. Then, I can check it EVERY morning, and 4 times a every 3 days.  Believe it or not, I can barel feel it so it's not too bad.  We will now see the doctor every 2 weeks.  I can't believe that in less than 10 weeks I will be able to hold Baby Colin in my arms:)
