My baby boy is 4 months old today! Time sure does fly when are having fun. We have so much watching him grow and learn new things. He is such a happy baby, and this mama is very thankful for that. I weighed him about 2 weeks ago, and he weighed 15 lbs 2 ounces. He is 25 inches long. He has his 4 month check up on Wednesday, so I will get a more accurate height and weight then. He will also be getting some more shots which I do not look forward to.
He eats 4 ounces every 3 hours due to a growth spurt I am pretty sure he is having at the moment. He woke in the middle of the night one day last week and wanted to eat. He has not done this since he was around 2 and a half, so I decided that it might be time to try a little bit of rice cereal. He is ok with it. I think once he gets use to the spoon he will love it.
We finally broke out his high chair last week, and he loves it. We will sit him in it while we are eating dinner, and his daddy fed him his rice cereal in it the Friday night. Colin is also very fond of his hands. He chews on them ALL the time. I am pretty sure he is starting to teeth a little bit. He got a little fussy last week and was chewing his fingers. We put some ora-gel on his gums and immediately got happy and stopped chewing his fingers.
He has got really good head and neck control. He sits in his bumbo and will lay on his playmat on his belly with is head lifted for several minutes. He is also trying to raise his head up when he is laying back in your arms or laying flat. He loves watching football with us on Saturdays, especially those Bama boys, and Baby Einstein. He is starting to sit up for a few seconds, but I am sure he will be sitting up perfectly in no time.
He is still sleeping in his pack n play in our room. I am just not ready for him to be in a room by himself. My goal is to work on this during Christmas break. He still loves bath time and will kick like crazy in his little tub. I can only imagine how much fun we will have next summer in the pool.
I have so much love for this precious boy! He has definitely brought so much joy to our lives, and we look forward to watching him grow! Happy 4 months Colin.....Mommy and Daddy love you so much!!
