Happy 5 months Colin!!
I cannot believe my baby boy is 5 months old today.
I still can't believe how fast he is growing up.
He shows more and more personality every day and we are soaking up every minutes of it.
He is a very happy baby, unless he is hungry or sleepy.
He started eating stage 1 baby food this month, fruit in the morning and a vegetable at night.
So far his favorites are pears, apples, peas, and bananas.
He wasn't so sure about the orange veggies at first, but he is starting to warm up to the sweet potatoes and carrots.
He take a 5 oz. bottle every 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
He is learning more and more every day.
He has recently discovered his feet.
He tracks objects very easily and loves playing with his toys, especially the ones he can get into his mouth.
This month, he has really starting to enjoy his baby einstein activity center and played in his johnny jumper for the first time.
He has starting reaching for our faces when we are talking to him.
He isn't quite rolling over independently from back to belly, but with a little help he is able to get over.
He is definitely starting to act more like a big boy.
He doesn't like to miss out on anything.
He likes to be sitting up or standing on your lap.
Sometimes, even at night when I am rocking him to sleep, he likes to be more upright so he can see what's going on.
He loves watching Baby Einstein and likes listening to music.
He always seems to be smiling, but is pretty stingy with his laughs.
I am pretty sure he is in the beginning stages of teething.
Everything goes in his mouth and the drooling is non-stop.
He still loves his paci, but enjoyes his fingers too.
He is wearing mostly 6 month clothing, but still some 3-6 months.
He is wearing size 2 diapers.
We took Colin to see Santa and he did really well.
He is good with being out and about.
He has really starting to pay attention to who has him...he knows when someone new is holding him and he definitely shows a preference for familiar faces.
He still loves his sleep, but recently we have started swaddling him at night.
He just can't keep those little arms under control sometimes.
His hair is starting to get thicker.
He had a thick, full head of hair when he was born, but then it really thinned out.
It is really starting to come back now.
His eyelashes have gotten really dark too and are so long!
He has already gotten several compliments on his pretty lashes.
Even though he has his mommy's eyes, he still looks very much like his daddy.
Happy 5 months baby Colin.
Mommy and daddy love you so much and we look forward to watching you grow,
but would appreciate if time would slow down just a little.
